About The SoapSmith™

The Soapsmith™ is an all-natural, handmade soap business, run by Jennifer Dionne. She and her husband, Duane, live in Merrimack, New Hampshire, with their daughters, Demi and Lauren. Duane, assists in the natural soap making process by constructing everything necessary to aid the manufacturing process; such as molds, drying racks, etc. He recently built a new workshop space to accommodate the growing business.

Additionally, Joy Bowen, of Weare, New Hampshire, has been instrumental in inspiring and helping the company. She assists in the handmade soap process, labeling, and marketing as well as by making endless suggestions for new bars, products, and improvements.

The roots of The SoapSmith™ sprouted about 7 years ago when Duane, aware that "grocery store" soap is mostly chemicals, suggested to Jennifer that they make all natural handmade soaps. Jennifer loved the idea, and together they began making soap for themselves, family and friends. Soon, a local business woman received some of their soap and approached them to supply her gift shop. Since then, The SoapSmith™ has grown to include this E-commerce website, and is available in many stores throughout southern New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

We strive to respond to the desires of our customers in every way, so that they not only enjoy and benefit from our natural products, but to make them feel good about us as a company as well.
